The World Internet Project recently conducted a study that revealed that the average internet user is more socially active than the average non-user. The study was conducted among bother users and non-users in America and 13 other countries that don't matter.
"Use of the Internet is reducing television viewing around the world while having little impact on positive aspects of social life," stated Jeffrey Cole, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Other facts the study found:
- Television viewing for the average user is five hours per week lower than the non-user.
- The wealthiest segments of the population are also the most avid users.
- A majority of users deemed the information they receive from the Internet reliable
- In the evil Communist nation of China, citizens are able to connect with each other and discuss their faith in a society where religion is banned.
